Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Engineer in a hospital, diagnostic center, or healthcare facility
CTC: For 1-2 Years of experience 3.5lpa to 4lpa
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation / Medical Electronics
Certification or training in medical equipment management / NABH compliance (preferred)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment in our hospital.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all medical devices function safely, efficiently, and in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, calibrate, and maintain all hospital medical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and laboratory devices.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
Maintain records of service, calibration, and maintenance logs as per NABH standards.
Coordinate with equipment vendors, service engineers, and suppliers for repairs or AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
Support procurement, testing, and evaluation of new biomedical equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and biomedical waste management standards.
Conduct user training and orientation for doctors, nurses, and technicians on equipment operation and care.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in medical devices.
Maintain an inventory of all biomedical assets and manage spare parts stock.
Collaborate with hospital administration and IT teams for integrated equipment networking (e.g., HIS, PACS).
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience with hospital medical devices such as ICU monitors, ventilators, anesthesia machines, X-ray, ultrasound, dialysis, and laboratory equipment.
Strong knowledge of electronic systems, calibration, and safety standards.
Understanding of NABH / ISO standards related to biomedical departments.
Vendor coordination and AMC management skills.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple maintenance requests.
